Sister Elizabeth Marie, Eric Gill, p. 31: "Two hundred sixty-seven wood-engraved borders desiged by Gill as a setting for the 18-point Caslon Old Face has the impact of living tradition...The Gill designs blend every word and every page (printed on hand-made Batchelor paper with the cockerel watermark).
