Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers, 1971. Draft script for the 1971 film. Rubber stamp on the title page from the Paige Independent Casting agency in Los Angeles, California. Brief highlighting on a couple of pages, and notations in holograph pencil on a few pages. A biopic loosely based on the life American frontiersman Hugh Glass (1780-1833). Zachary Bass (Harris) is a fur trapper who joins a Northwest Territory expedition. When a grizzly bear attacks him, his group leaves him for dead. Captain Henry (Huston), one of the expedition members who deserted him, are confused when he shows up again with revenge on his mind. Shot on location in Spain. Blue titled wrappers. Title page present, undated, with credits for actor Harris, screenwriter DeWitt and director Sarafian. 155 leaves, with last leaf of text numbered 154. Mechanically reproduced.
