Hartford, CT: Privately Printed, 1958. This is the rare Volume One for the publication, American Silver Collected by Philip H. Hammerslough. Copy no. 224 of an edition of 300 copies only. Produced by Connecticut Printers in Caslon types on Mohawk superfine paper, and bound by the Russell-Rutter Company. Spine bound in medium gray, linen-like buckram, and with light gray paper hardboards. Front board title label has crisp gilt-stamped lettering and design on black. Spine with crisp gilt-stamped lettering on black. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners. The paper boards with a tiny amount of soiling. On the whole a very clean and presentable binding. 10.5 x 8 inches. Text block firmly bound in. Top edge tinted a very pale gray. With 140 numbered pages, and with numerous B&W photo illustrations throughout, a few of which are full-page. An exceptionally clean copy, inside and out, and still rather tight. Respectfully read. A Very Good Plus copy. Rare in any condition.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Limited Edition.
