London: Printed for Ri. Royston in Ivie Lane, 1632 - 12mo, recent full calf period style, red morocco label, gilt lettering. Engraved title-page. ? The first translation into English of De Veritate Religionis ChristianÊ by the Dutch humanist Hugo Grotius (1583-1645), first published in Latin in 1627. Some copies have both a letterpress title-page and an engraved title-page, and other copies have one or the other. This copy has only the engraved title, and opposite it is a printed explanation of its elaborate depiction entitled "The minde of the frontispiece, or title page." Bound a little tightly at the gutters, but a very nice copy.
