Globe Printing Co, Louisville 1908 - frontis, illustrations, iii, 321p. Recently quarterbound (marbled boards backed in leather). 23cm. First few leaves neatly reattached along inner hinge. Horizontal tear repaired on a leaf toward the end. Moderately browned. No Jacket. "Compliments of the Author Ed. M. Main" written in black ink on blank leaf preceding frontis -- two former owner's names also on same page (the daughter of one of the officers and her husband according to information in a disintegrating clipping formerly mounted in this book). The author of this rare regimental served as a Major in the Regiment during the Civil War and was later considered the "official" historian for the regiment. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
