Animal Farm
The First UK Printing published by Secker and Warburg in May, 1945.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD+ condition.A small, neat previous owner's name and address to the front end paper.A little toning to the upper text block.Sharp corners and clean covers.A little toning to the cover edges and also at the spine ends. The WRAPPER is complete and is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The red searchlight design is printed to the reverse of the wrapper and it is correctly priced at 6s. denoting the correct First Issue printing.Mild edge wear with the usual rubbing to the corners, spine ends and folds.Green lettering of the author and title remain sharp. The iconic wrapper design looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. An increasingly difficult title to find in collectible condition due to having been both produced cheaply to Wartime Economy Standards and also with a print run of only 4000 copies.
