William Sewel
1722 2nd edition - The history of the rise, increase, and progress, of the Christian people called Quakers; with several remarkable occurrences intermixed - complete in one volume
J Sowle, 1722. Leather. Collectible; Acceptable. Leather; English language; No jacket; Folio - over 12" - 15" tall; a fair reading copy; ... this is an ORIGINAL 1722 publication; leather on the boards is very worn, especially near the spine, but the boards are solid; all the leather is missing from spine but the 6 bands and the binding is sound; front and rear boards both detached (but present) with some pages firmly attached - front board has endpapers, title page, dedication to King George I and the first 2 leaves (4 pages) of the Preface; rear board has the final leaf of the publisher's catalogue (i.e. none of the main book); all the other pages are firmly bound to the spine; most pages have an occasional mark or foxing mark but are well preserved given their age (the title page is atypically creased and darkened); pages from approx 688-720 have a water stain to top corner (opposite spine) but where this does impinge upon text readability is unaffected. HEAVY BOOK(S) 2.512kg. Your book will be securely packed and promptly dispatched from our UK warehouse. All international orders are sent Royal Mail airmail.
