EPISTOLAE GENUINAE S. IGNATII MARTYRIS; QUAE NUNC PRIMUM LUCEM VIDENT EX BIBLIOTHECA FLORENTINA
Amsterdam: Ioannem Blaev, 1646. Hardcover. Full calf. 6" x 7 3/4". 318p. Book in fair condition. Bound in later calf, probably from the 18th century. Covers abraded and rubbed. Corners bumped. Backed with four raised bands with the leather on three of five panels missing. Hinges deteriorating. Crown and heel of spine deteriorated. Front and rear free endpapers chipped. Text is clean and tight and this would make a good candidate for rebinding. An edited volume containing letters of St. Ignatius of Antioch and St. Barnabus. All text in two columns per page, one providing original Greek from manuscripts at the library in Florence, and one providing the Latin translation. Vossius adds his own notes to the letters.
