Curious work, first published in 1625, officially forbidden in 1627 but still printed without a name of the printer. Here with the second edition of the equally infamous work on the nymphomaniac Messalina. The "Lucerna", a lamp talking to the author, tells the story of her previous incarnations as a bear, a dog, an ant, Cleopatra and several other "more or less respectable ladies". - Pona (1594-1655) worked as a medical doctor in Verona.
