GLYNN BOYD HARTE. Gavin Stamp and John Betjeman
Temples of Power. Lithographs by Glynn Boyd Harte, with an introduction and architectural notes by Gavin Stamp and a one-page foreword by John Betjeman. (SIGNED LIMITED EDITION)
The Cygnet Press, Oxfordshire, 1979. First edition, limited to 250 numbered copies printed at The Curwen Press on all-rag mould-made paper and signed by Harte and Stamp. Landscape folio. Unpaginated. Quarter-bound paper-covered cloth lettered in gold at spine and with the paper sides featuring a striking two-colour Battersea Power Station motif. Stamp's twelve-page illustrated introduction precedes sixteen superb colour lithographs. A little light soiling to the cloth at rear board, and a tiny hint of chafing to the tip of a single corner. A touch of very light spotting to fore edge and several preliminary and title leaves, but all the plates spared and in pristine state. Very good indeed in dust wrapper, sadly a little chafed, spotted and soiled, and chipped at edges with several small portions of loss. An extremely handsome production.. Signed by Illustrator(s). 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good.
