London: Sampson Low, Marston and Co., 1897. Two volumes complete - Volume One - xxiii, [5], 454pp and Volume Two - xvi, [4], 427pp, [1]. Later full morocco by Morrell, raised bands, spines in six panels, title to second panel, author and volume to third lettered direct, remaining panels with volute corner pieces, three with anchor motifs and one with a knot motif, covers with single fillet border, anchor corner pieces, with volute side pieces joined by a dotted line, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g. with marbled endpapers. Spines slightly faded, minor rubbing to extremities, minor discolouration to covers. Internally some light foxing to frontispiece of volume one, otherwise quite bright and clean. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedowns. Volume One with ten engraved plates and ten maps/plans and Volume Two with nine engraved plates and ten maps/plans (two folding). First Edition. Full Morocco. Very Good. 8vo.
