Aquarian Exposition: Woodstock Music & Art Fair;
Woodstock/Monterey: Concert Hall Publications/Monterey International Pop Festival Inc.,, 1969 & 1967. [Together with] Monterey International Pop Festival Annual. 2 works together, quarto. Original illustrated wrappers. Housed together in an orange cloth slipcase and chemise. Some very slight rubbing to the extremities, and minor damp stains to the gutters, of the Woodstock programme but nonetheless an especially excellent example; the Monterey programme is rubbed at the extremities with very minor splits starting at the joint ends, but also still in excellent condition. First printings of both programmes, a wonderful pairing memorialising two highly seminal festivals that defined an era: Monterey, which ushered in the "Summer of Love" in 1967, and saw the first major American appearances by Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Ravi Shankar, Janis Joplin and Otis Redding; and Woodstock, one of the largest and most significant music festivals of all time, now symbolic for having been the apotheosis of the 60s generation.
