Bound in new 1/2 calf with gilt titles, decoration and raised bands on spine and marbled paper, new end papers. Previous owner's name signed on title page. All plates as called for on directions for placing the plates; 8 plans (4 folding), 7 aquatints and 2 tables are present. One plate. View of the Village of St. Thomas, page 517,is trimmed to plate on top and left side. Overall very clean inside pages and plates. Very Good+ condition. A very handsome and nice copy. Bouchette was Surveyor General of Lower Canada from 1804 to 1841. His work, based on years of travel and observation, is of primary historical and geographical importance. Lande 1591, TPL 1031.
