The book is in Near Fine condition, without any visible defects, losses and remarks. Two minor stains on the front cover, slightly frayed back cover edges. Eye-catching modernist cover design in black red and white with elements of satire perfectly complements book's content. Present avant-garde feuilleton poems collection named after popular Lithuanian folk song is author's third work in genre of rhymed short satire after “3 Granadieriai” (Three Grenadiers) and "Nuo Maironies iki manes" (From Maironis to Me). The first two collections include literary parodies, third one contains satirical poems published in satirical journal "Kuntaplis" edited by author. Here he criticizes social evils, bureaucracy of authorities, greed, exposed rulers machinations, assailed human vices, ironizing petty bourgeoisie and misery narrow-minded people. One of the strongest poems in collection is „Obyvateliu himnas“(Hymn to narrow person) mocking Lithuanian Polish language (dedicated to Tutejszy, name of rural population). By creating such great feuilleton poems author cultivated the satirical vein and proved his talent as brilliant master at rhyming. Teofilis Tilvytis (1904-1969) was one of the leading Lithuanian avant-garde poets and most significant member of cult literary avant-garde movement Keturi vejai (Four Winds) after its founder Kazys Binkis.
