[16], 440, 36 pages, with index and errata page at the end. Vellum in very good condition, pages tanned. Over-all good to very good. Early writing on front end-paper, engraved title with the salvation from above picture. Yale Medical Library bookplate over another bookplate on verso of title, and another sticker on verso of read board. This is the fifth printing the work in Latin, the previous four from the 1640s. This is the John Merryweather translation, which is the Browne-approved. It first appeared in 1644, according to Keynes. There is a Praefatio Auctoris by Browne expressing his approval of Merryweather s work, dated 1652, and a short note from Merryweather in the preliminaries. Number 63 in Keynes bibliography.
