Interestingly, this work has curiously not been indexed by Tchemerzine in his bibliography of first editions. Velin full flaps (Dutch binding). Smooth back. Title pen. Good copy. Probably the best known works of this skeptical philosopher (1588-1672), which was not intended for publication, but to his friends; work has indeed a freedom of tone and language rather unusual in this kind of exercise, even if the author stands behind the banner of the ancient philosophers (especially Cicero) that he made a formal loan and said. The dialogues focus on the manners and opinions with a final dialogue on the diversity of religions: From the skeptical philosophy; The skeptic banquet; Of privacy; Rare & eminent qualities of asses this time; the diversity of religions. Instead of the word end, we find these to Spanish: De las cosas mas seguras, La mas es segura dudar (From the most certain things, the more certain is doubt), creed and motto of the author.
