Each book with additional titles, engraved portrait frontis. [after Ch. Nicoville?]; occasional light stains or wrinkles. Original full calf, gilt spine, red and black leather spine labels; covers worn, some joints cracked, some head and tails frayed away, small oval leather labels naming the spine volume number occasionally missing, later shelf-stickers mounted at foot of spines. Early ownership bookplates of The Honble. William Craig, "one of the Lords of Council and Session and Lord Commissioner of Justiciary", several blind embossed stamps of the Theological Institute of Connecticut, on first and last pages, including titles. Internally very good, bindings holding but worn.
