The second book has May 1811-October 1811 and then Index to 'Volume the First' followed by Memoirs of Captain George Carleton, an English Officer which was published as a part of a supplement toThe Royal Military Chronicle. Imprint to the rear of the workstates 'end of volume II'. Folding plate (Plates I-III) to Feb 1812 section. Folding plate to March 1812 section (Plates I-II). Plate to May 1811 section. Folding plate to June 1811 section, plate to July 1811 section,one foldingplate to August 1811 section,folding plate to September 1811 section, folding plate to October 1811 section. Frontispiece to each monthly chapter, three engraved title page bound at November 1811, December 1811 and April 1812. This work is a mixture of biography, eyewitness accounts and statistical information from the military. Condition: In half calf bindings with paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the joints and head and tail of spine. Gilt stamping to spine labels have rubbed slightly. Title page and frontispiece to thevolume marked 'II' at spine have been repaired and are severely age toned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges. Offsetting to the title pages and from plates throughout. Ink spill to page 172 of volume I not obstructing text. Occasional spots. Overall: VERY GOOD..
