Comes with a letter signed by Norma Farnes (his long term Manager) "I am enclosing herewith the stickers which Spike has personally signed for you.". This is the rare First book issued by Sir Spike. True first English edition. Cream boards illustrated (by Spike) with navy blue titles. Faded pink dustjacket has the same illustrations as the boards. Chip at the top of the spine; pc. A collection of some 30 ridiculous rhymes, which as Spike writes in the foreword," Most of these poems were written to amuse my matter what you say, my kids think I'm brilliant." Illustrated throughout by Milligan in his own naive, manic style. Milligan was acknowledged by comics both young and old as a genius. They even bent the rules at Buckingham Palace to Knight him, (as he was Irish and not technically a British citizen).
