Second edition, second issue, fifth thousand. 8vo. x, 502 pp. Contemporary tan half calf over marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered red label, endpapers and all edges marbled, early armorial bookplate to the front pastedown. Folding table. Some mild rubbing to the extremities, very good overall. Freeman, 376. First published the previous year. The first issue of the second edition also appeared in 1859, but for the the mention of "fifth thousand" on the title page the two issues are identical.
