The Crawford Library, or Bibliotheca Lindesiana is a library of early books mostly regarding�philately.�Edmund Wingate was an�English mathematical and legal writer. Wingate was the first to publish on the principle of the slide rule, and was a Member of Parliament during the Interregnum.An important arithmetic treatise. This second edition was edited and expanded�by Edmund Wingate's friend, and fellow mathematician 'John Kersey the Elder'.� In the original full calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Externally, very smart. Patches of rubbing to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots. Very Good Indeed
