[no place], 2005. Hardcover. Fine. Folio measuring 12 "x 9". Light pink paper photo album with gilt decorations. Contains 156 color photographs measuring between 2" x 1" and 10" x 8". A small bump on the front board edge else fine with fine photographs.An African-American family photo album filled with colorful photographs from the 1970s through to the early 1990s and a few later pictures from the mid-2000s. The photographs are a collection of family events over two decades mostly including parties for birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, and family get-togethers. The album is of a woman's family showing pictures of her daughter and son growing up. Most of the album includes photos of her daughter, unwrapping gifts, dancing in ballet, and playing with her younger brother. Later pictures show her daughter spending time with friends and attending prom with her boyfriend. Both are dressed charmingly with crowns on their head, presumably from winning prom king and queen and there are a couple images of her graduating in her cap and gown in 2005. Intermingled are pictures of the woman and her husband with their children going on family vacations to the beach or spending time together during the holidays and church. A few obituaries are included in the album of presumably friends or family including a young man, Stanley Jones, and an older woman, Ethelyn Brinkley Hammond. The last obituary is for Dorothy Height from a service put on by the National Council of Negro Woman.
