Superb historical document full of images of installations and artworks, texts and poetry concerning the work of the Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. Gold silkscreen to front and back cover, otherwise black and white. This particular issue of Signals is presently (April 2018) exhibited in a vitrine at Tate Modern, London, as part of 'Abstraction and Society' exhibition 'A View from Sao Paulo' section - beside the 'Neo Concrete Experience' facsimile newspaper, also listed on Abe. Signals London was a short-lived yet highly influential British venue dedicated to 1960s avant-garde artists from Europe and Latin America. Through their exhibitions, events and publications, they established fruitful cross-border networks between these regions and introduced early manifestations of Fluxus, Kinetic and Op art to Britain. Having evolved from the Centre for Advanced Creative Study, Signals London was situated in London’s West End between 1964–1966.
