Quarto 25x17 cm., wrappers, 88pp. Gorn (The Horn) is a collection of art and literature that appeared irregularly in 9 books from 1918 to 1923, under the auspices of the Proletkul't. It had a varied list of editors, including Andrei Biely, Its intent was to reflect the work of Proletkul't with implementation of theoretically conscious tasks. In addition to the emphasis on literature and criticism it included the other departments emphasized by Proletkul't: the visual and performing arts, and the emerging clubs of various activities. It is recognized to have great importance in the articulation and development of proletarian culture. With full-page drawing by Sergei Mikhailovich Kolesnikov (Kolesnikoff) (1899-1952), a student of Bakst, and students of the Fine Arts Dept of the Moscow Academy.
