'Thalaba the Destroyer', the third edition of this work, complete in two volumes, published in 1814. This is an epic poem, divided into twelve books, describing how a group of sorcerers works to destroy a family, in order to prevent a prophecy of their doom. 'Madoc', the fourth edition of this work, complete in two volumes, published in 1815. This epic poem is based on the legend of Madoc, a Welsh prince, who fled conflict and sailed to America. The first half of the poem describes Madoc as a young Welsh nobleman, and the second part describes Madoc returning, finding that the Aztecs have returned to their human sacrifices. 'Roderick, the Last of the Goths', the fourth edition of this work, complete in two volumes, published in 1816, with five pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of Volume II. This epic poem describes a fight over the inheritance for the Spanish throne, and how Rockderick manages to take over the throne.
