The author, a professor at Berlin and Potsdam, ethnologically classified all the peoples of the world into groups such as Mongolians, Americans, South-Americans, Indians, Malayans, Australians, Negroes, Ethiopians, Caucasians and Indo-Europeans and examined and analysed them according to administrative system, religion, customs and modes of dress.
