A group containing one issue of the staplebound Russian-language anarchist platformist journal Dielo trouda (Workers' Cause) from New York, 14 issues of the anarcho-syndicalist Probuzhdenie (Awakening) from Detroit (1927-1939), with the remainder being the combined journal Dielo trouda / Probuzhdenie, from 1940 onward. Issues present are as follows: For Dieli trouda, no. 103 (covers loose). Probuzhdenie, nos. 2, 3, 12 (covers loose), 13, 52/3 (pages separate), 56/7 (covers missing), 62/3, 66/7 (incomplete), 68/9, 70/1 (two examples, each with different defects), 74/5, 90/1, 92/3, 94/5 (cover loose, possibly incomplete). The combined publication Dielo trouda / Probuzhdenie: 1, 2 (last page defective), 7, 13, 16, 24, 27-32, 34, 37 (torn but complete), 39, 40 (lacking pp. 5-6), 41, 42, 44, 45, 47, 50-56, 59, 61-66. Many issues have edgewear or some lesser splitting at the spine. Also thrown in are framentary examples of numbers 26 and 68. A substantial, if fragmentary, run of the magazines published for the Russian anarchist community in North America. The prominent exiled Russian anarchist Gregori Maximoff edited the combined journal until his death in 1950.
