Second and best collected edition, the first with the life of Harvey by Lawrence, an autopsy report on Thomas Parr, plus a number of his letters and the text of Harvey's diploma from Padua. Keynes, item 47: 'The text of this edition was carefully prepared and at the end of the section containing the writings of the heart is a list of 246 emendations in the Frankfurt edition of 'De Motu Cordis', 1628, and of 158 in the Cambridge edition of 'De Circulatione Sanguinis', 1649. The volume was edited by Mark Akenside, M.D. and the memoir was by Thomas Lawrence, M.D. The Bowyer paper stock ledger. listst the paper eceived. and used. 6 quires of writing royal for the plate, 19 ream 5 quires of writing royal and 74 reams of common royal for the book.
