This work includes William Caxton's English translation as well as 64 impressive illustrations from Fisher fresco paintings from the Chapel of Trinity Church in Stratford England. The original 15th-century work was written by an unknown author; though, the decorative Veldener printing was much desired. The illustrations are known to be reproduced from the 1483 original edition of the 'Golden Legend'. This 1887 edition was published by Unwin and bound in a decorative binding, in the style of 15th-century masters.
