Publisher's brown half morocco over dark green cloth boards, Egyptianate gilt decoration to the spine and with a matching gilt tooled morocco panel to the upper board, all edges gilt. Title page and 100 plates, all finely printed in chromolithograph. The plates are grouped by style, principally architectural, each chapter accompanied with descriptive text. Some mild rubbing, a lovely copy. A beautiful repository of design samples from sources across the world and one of the finest colour printed books of the age.
