The bindings to this work have numbered the volumes 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10 as they were probably originally from a complete set of Marshall's Rural Economy. Comprising of: The Rural Economy of Norfolk: Comprising the Management of Landed Estates and the Present Practice of Husbandry in that County (First Edition, Two Volumes 1787) The Rural Economy of the West of England Including Devonshire and Parts of Somersetshire, Dorsetshire and Cornwall Together with Minutes in Practice, (First Edition, Two Volumes, 1796) The Rural Economy of Gloucestershire Including Its Dairy Together with the Dairy Management of North Wiltshire and the Management of Orchards and Fruit Liquor of Herefordshire, (Second Edition, Two Volumes, 1796) With a folding map to volumes I, V, and IX. Collated, volumes present are complete. William Marshall was an 18th Century author on contemporary agriculture. In half calf bindings with paper boards. Externally, worn. Heavy rubbing to the joints and spines. Small losses at the Head and tail of spines to most volumes. Bumping to the extremities of all volumes. Joints to most volumes are tender.
