Three vols., 4tos; frontispiece, [i]-xxxii, [1]-608, [16, index, advertisement]; [4], [1]-724, [11, index], [3 blank]; [vi], 1-687, [1, blank], [13, index], [1, blank]; contemporary streaked calf with the Trinity College (Dublin) crest on front and rear covers. The fourth edition of Locke's works -- the same edition that was owned by Thomas Jefferson -- here in a prize set awarded to a Trinity College student, per the bookplate in Volume One. (Additional postage required). Bookplate and neat ownership signature, occasional marginalia; some marks and spots; spines uniformaly darkened; wear to covers, but hinges sound; spine label of first volume has fallen off; a decent set.
