Lugduni, Apud Philibertu Rolletiu. Lugdini: Philibertu Rolletiu, 1554. 813 pages, + introduction and index. Thick octavo, embossed green pigskin binding. Gilt label and raised bands on spine. One clasp present and functional though the hinge is worn. Top clasp missing (hinges still present). Numerous woodcut illustrations throughout the text. Exterior moderately worn, darkened, with some loss of leather at the extremities and spine ends. Boards at corners visible. Leather is cracking along the spine edges. Binding still strong. Contemporary ink notations in Latin to the front endpapers, an owner's name in ink to the title page, some small marks in pencil to the rear endpaper. Otherwise text is clean, unmarked. A few pages have light brown staining, some foxing. Text block slightly rippled throughout. Rear board has some water damage.
