Such a volume was much wanted, and will, I have no doubt, be extensively purchased [...]" - Der "Bradshaw's Railway Guide" fand in Dickens 1861 erschienener Erzählung "The Portrait-Painter's Story" Erwähnung. - "William James Adams, London agent for Bradshaw's Railway Companion (one of the world's first compilations of railway timetables), proposed to publisher George Bradshaw that his publication change format and be issued on a monthly basis at a lower price.
