Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1929. First edition. DJ by Cleon, very slightly chipped with faded spine. Prior owner's bookplate and bookseller's label pasted down on front free endpaper. Sales price intact ($2.50). DJ has mis-spelling 'Katharine', and lacks the qualification following the dedication, indicating first state for both the book and the DJ. A wonderful copy of a rare and significant book, considered one of the most important novels of the 20th century. Protected in an archival wrapper.
