Panic Party
Hodder & Stoughton, London, 1934. First UK Edition. Publisher's light blue cloth, black lettering to the front board and spine. Some sunning to the edges of the boards and the spine which is slightly pushed. There is a little red soiling at the bottom left hand corner of the front board. Mild offsetting to both sets of end-papers. Overall a VG copy. In the UNCOMMON VG D/W priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for). The D/W is rubbed and nicked with a few short, closed tears to the extremities and with a chip to the top left hand corner of the spine just affecting the top of the the "A" of PANIC and smaller chips at the left and right hand corners at the base of the spine (not affecting any lettering). On the verso of the D/W there is minor tape residue from the removal (by a skilled paper conservator) of see-through scotch tape repairs (undertaken un-necessarily by a former owner). The small areas of loss have been cleverly disguised with the laying of a photocopy beneath (not attached to the wrapper). Uncommon. Photographs/scans available upon request. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
Bookseller: James M Pickard, ABA, ILAB, PBFA. [LEICESTER, United Kingdom]
