Text was prepared by a major anthropologist and ethnographer Maxim Levin (1904-1963), who was studying of anthropology and ethnography of the peoples of Siberia and the Far East. Illustrations were created by a graphic artist Petr Staronosov (1893-1942), who lived in Siberia for a long time and explored the life of indigenous peoples of Siberia. In the middle of 1930s, he was arrested and imprisoned. Very unusual children book.We couldn't trace any copy of this edition in USA or European libraries via OCLC.
