Octavo (22cm); beige linen, with titles stamped on a copper band mounted to spine; blue topstain; dustjacket; [viii],318,[2]pp, with portrait frontispiece and seven photographic plates by Carl Van Vechten. Subtle fading to left edge of topstain, faint offsetting to pastedowns from binders glue, with a tiny, vintage booksellers ticket to lower rear pastedown, and textblock slightly sagging; Near Fine.
