Very light rubbing at extremities, else a near-fine copy. First edition, signed limited issue, number 164 of 199 copies signed by the author. This short story, a satiric parable of a pig converted to Christianity, was offered as a Christmas gift to the friends of the publisher Covici-Friede. With the publisher's Christmas sentiment advertising Of Mice and Men loosely inserted, as issued. The Kenyon Starling copy, with his booklabel to box inner lid. Goldstone and Payne A6a.
