c. 1880. Albumen print (14 x 10 cm) mounted on cardboard (16.5 x 10.6 cm). Print: 5 ½ x 4 inches; Card: 6 ½ x 4 ¼ inches F. Jay Haynes (American, 1853 1921) spend most of his career photographing the development of the western territories. In 1976 he was commissioned to document the views along the Northern Pacific Railroad. Haynes opened a photography gallery in the Yellowstone Park in 1884, where he sold touristic images of the park. Jessie Iron Bull was two spirited member of the Crow community
