Bob Denver 'Gilligan'". Illustrated. Faint trace of a small removed label on the front pastedown, else a fine copy in green cloth boards without dust jacket as issued. The beloved Gilligan's Island television series aired for three seasons on CBS from September 26, 1964 to April 17, 1967 and tells the comic adventure story of seven castaways attempting to survive on a tropical island on which they have been shipwrecked. Bob Denver (1935 - 2005) played the accident-prone first mate Gilligan with Alan Hale Jr. as the captain, Jim Backus as Wall Street millionaire Thurston Howell III, Natalie Schafer as his wife Lovey, Tina Louise as Ginger Grant - a glamourous Hollywood movie star, Russell Johnson as the Professor, and Dawn Wells as the wholesome farm girl Mary Ann.
