Huth, Henry (owner). W.C. Hazlitt and F.S. Ellis (cataloguers)
The Huth Library. A Catalogue of the Printed Books, Manuscripts, Autograph Letters, and Engravings, Collected by Henry Huth, with Collations and Bibliographical Descriptions
Ellis and White, 1880. First Edition. 5 vols. 4to. COMPLETE. In vol. I the etched portrait of Huth by C.W. Sherborn (tissue guard a bit crinkled). Original half roan over brick-red pebbled cloth, top edges gilt, others untrimmed (spines worn as is almost always the case). PRINTED ON THICK PAPER, the textblock remarkably crisp and white. Very good. ORIGINAL EDITION, limited to just 130 copies, "a corner-stone of British bibliography" (De Ricci).
