(4), 366, XXIV and (2) pages) ; and one atlas ((4), XIV, (2) pages and 92 plates) ; modern light brown morocco inlaid with specimens of leaves and branches, smooth spines. A very elegant copy bound by Annie Boige in modern morocco decorated with botanical inlays. The first and monumental Piedmontese flora based on the Linnaeus system.Allioni was the founder and director of the Turin Botanical Garden. His Flora Pedemontana is a major work of 18th century botany because it early and systematically applied the new Linnaean nomenclature to a vast regional botany. This work is also important for the knowledge of the flowers of the Alps. It is illustrated with 92 plates drawn and engraved by Francesco Peyroleri, painter of the Turin Botanical Garden, and his son Pietro.Annie Boige is an artist bookbinder. She studied at the Estienne School and the l'Atelier d'Art appliqué du Vésinet, created a bookbinding workshop in 1985 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which was transferred to Villennes-sur-Seine in 1995. She is a founding member of the International Association of Bookbinders and vice-president of the Association pour la Promotion des Arts de la Reliure. Rare botanical work in a contemporary artistic bookbinding.
