Minor toning, occasional marking, two discreet ink numbers to verso of title, boards rubbed to edges, corners neatly repaired, lengthy and attractive cursive quotation [words of economist H T Buckle] in ink to first blank. A very good copy of Smith's monumental work in nineteenth century boards.
