BECKETT Samuel.; DEYROLLE Jean
Séjour
1970. Five etchings by Louis Maccard after drawings by Jean Deyrolle, printed in black and white. First edition. Number 92 of 150 numbered copies on Rives paper, signed by Beckett and with the Deyrolle studio stamp. Oblong 4to., 26 x 20.5cm, loose folios in original wrappers, original publisher's tan cloth drop-back box. Paris, Georges Richer. A fine copy, original card prospectus loosely inserted. Jean Deyrolle was one of the leading figures of French abstraction in the post-war period; already in ill-health by the time the collaboration with Beckett was conceived, the five drawings proved to be the final accomplishment of his life and the finished books were published posthumously, signed with a studio stamp alongside the signature of Beckett. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Soft Cover]
