Collection of more than 50 invoices by a wide range of American businesses, engraved and pictorial letterheads
Various, second half of 19th century, 1870. More than 50 documents, mostly printed invoices filled out in manuscript, a few promotional broadsides, letters, and receipts. Very good condition.Businesses represented in the collection include bakeries, dry goods merchants, tobacco shops, patent medicine dealers, railroads, carpet sellers, hardware stores, lumber dealers, iron works, etc.The collection includes an 1870 invoice from Godfrey Keebler, Steam Biscuit and Cracker Baker. Keebler's name lives on through the many cookies and crackers still marketed under that brand.
