Signature / Six line inscription on 2nd front end page: "To Tom Moran-who has the finest collection of first editions in Stockton, and because any man who collects first editions is the salt of the earth.---Fraternally Irving Stone, 1938." Lay ins: A second eight line hand written note to Carl Kroch: "The party was absolutely delightful", signed Irving; Laid in also is a 4 X 6 black and white photo signed by Kirk Douglas, who starred in the movie as Vincent Van Gogh. Included with the lot is a full colored 8 X 10 photo, signed by Anthony Quinn, who won the best supporting actor Academy Award for his role as Paul Gauguin. Book Condition: Slight fading to covers, else, Near Fine. DJ Condition: Modest scratches, else Near Fine.
