Laid in are relevant copies from Ruari McLean, Victorian Book Design (New York: Oxford University Press, 1963), 80-83, and the biographical sketch of Pugin in the DNB. Covers rubbed and scuffed at edges and along spine. Torn along bottom of front of spine. Previous owner's bookplate on front pastedown; previous owner's name on front free endpaper.
