This hand-crafted limited edition catalog is the only publicationof a group of non-official artists influenced by Andrzej Partum, the seminal figure of Polish Neo-Avant-Garde, an artistic movement in Poland in the 70s and 80s. A kind of underground exhibit catalog of the "Andrzej Partum Award" for the years 1984-1986, the introduction to this item explains that the award ceremony was held at the Action Art Studio on December 13th, 1986. The publication opens with a collage by the photographer Zygmunt Rytka, and includes documentation of a famous and scandalous video work by Zbigniew Libera "Pereserweracje mistyczna", a performance "Młot, dłoń, lód" by the KwieKulik duo, video work of the performance artistZbyszko Trzeciakowski, and a manifesto "Ego Zoo Nihil" by the painter and performer Jerzy Truszkowski. The collection was published in the home studio of the KwieKulik duo (Zofia Kulik, Przemysław Kwie) in Łomianki. In an atmosphere of close political censorship of artistic work in Communist Poland with the official cultural institutions closed to non-official artists, the artists of the Polish Neo-Avant-Garde created their own system for exhibition, collection and cataloging of their work.
