Some browning to the text block, wear to the edges and corners and leather boards rubbed else this is a very good copy. This is the first authorized edition, there were reportedly two pirated editions preceding. Oxford, p. 51. The poem, 'The Art of Cookery', is in Latin with facing English translation.
